LawBank Hosts a “Fostering Resilience and Professional Growth for Lawyers” Seminar with Nancy Sharp
On April 2, 2020, LawBank was pleased to bring the thought leadership of nationally known resilience coach Nancy Sharp to the community through a webinar event.
Nancy is a keynote speaker, trainer, and award-winning author focused on resilience, overcoming adversity, and adapting to change for a variety of audiences, including the legal profession. In this webinar, she shared her own powerful story of resilience after loss—and how her experience as a longtime caregiver and young widowed mother eventually allowed her to develop the tools to thrive, and then go on to create The Resilience Framework™ to support individuals, leaders and teams. Nancy’s training programs draw upon research and techniques from the fields of emotional intelligence, positive psychology, growth mindset, and leadership.
Nancy shared insights with the LawBank community as to how independent law firms can act with greater resilience during the COVID-19 crisis—and beyond. She walked attendees of this webinar through how to pivot on personal and professional strategies in order to reframe challenges and work toward different opportunities and outcomes.
Nancy’s presentation shed light on limiting belief systems and behaviors that lawyers have, and how they are counterproductive to growth. She was also able to engage participants through interactive exercises that focused on zeroing in on the places where small law firm lawyers might be feeling stuck.
