Diversity & Inclusiveness at LawBank

By supporting solo and small law firm members, LawBank is doing its part to ensure a more diverse and inclusive Colorado legal community.

Since day one, LawBank has been committed to an inclusive and diverse business model. We provide a safe, professional and ethical workspace for independent lawyers from all walks of life.

Diversity & Inclusivity Initiatives

LawBank embraces diverse attorneys, diverse practice areas, and diverse perspectives. To this end,  LawBank is proud to be recognized as the winner in the Business/Corporate category for the Center for Legal Inclusiveness’ 2020 Inclusivenesss@Work Awards.

Support of Diverse Small Law Firm Owners. LawBank members are law firm owners. In fact, 19% of LawBank members reported that they identify as being part of a minority community including diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, ability, and sexual orientation. As a way to further its diversity and inclusiveness initiative, LawBank partnered with University of Denver Sturm College of Law to create the Solo Practice Grant Program in 2013. Many of the recipients of this program have been from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and represent vulnerable populations that struggle with access to lawyers. LawBank is also a proud sponsor of the WOLF program (Colorado Women Owned Law Firms), providing support to female entrepreneurs in the Colorado legal field.

Support of the Colorado Community. LawBank member attorneys represent all facets of the Colorado community. Many serve clients in languages other than English and so LawBank provides multilingual receptionists so that underrepresented groups are able to seek legal help in their own language. In addition, LawBank donates its space to house the Legal Entrepreneurs for Justice attorneys and administration. This incubator starts socially conscious law firms that help fill the access to justice gap by providing legal services in areas like immigration, family law, and criminal defense.
