LawBank hosted a discussion about outside general counsel law practices with Auxana
LawBank CoBo recently hosted a presentation by Auxana, an online membership and marketplace for corporate law attorneys. This Arizona-based business was created by corporate law attorney and entrepreneur Beth Lebowitz. Colorado corporate law attorney and former LawBank member, Stan Doida, also presented on his experience with alternative billing arrangements in his practice.
During this lunchtime presentation, Beth shared information with the LawBank community regarding her journey as outside general counsel and how she utilized a flat-fee business model to generate recurring revenue for her small law firm. Her presentation gave insight into how a predictable fee schedule can be leveraged by small law firms to secure outside legal services opportunities. More information about what Beth presented on can be found in the attached flyer titled, The End of the Billable Hour (PDF).
Auxana helps its member lawyers build partnerships with general counsel attorneys looking to outsource work for their companies. It also provides educational opportunities and marketing services as part of their membership packages. Following the presentation, Auxana extended an offer to the entire LawBank community providing the first month free for their membership of choice.
