In Colorado, there has been an uptick in ADA website accessibility lawsuits against mostly small and locally owned businesses. These lawsuits have not focused on any industry or city in particular but is interesting to note that these types of cases can affect businesses of all sizes – even the giants like Amazon, Nike, Netflix, and Apple.

Lawyers and business owners that are sued under the ADA are vulnerable to the large demands and payouts that plaintiffs can demand. The law doesn’t currently allow for time to cure accessibility deficiencies in a website so a lawsuit can be the first notice that a business receives of this type of claim.
