Yev Muchnik is a corporate and securities attorney with deep expertise in digital assets, Web3, artificial intelligence, and emerging technology law. As the Founding Partner of Launch Legal, LLC and Senior Of Counsel at Jason Wiener, P.C., she advises growth-stage tech and Web3 startups on complex onshore and offshore corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, and financial services interactions—including matters before the SEC, CFTC, and FinCEN. Her practice spans the full lifecycle of a startup: from entity formation and governance to capital raises, token structuring, DAO formation, and exit strategies.
Yev has counseled companies across a wide range of industries, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, clean energy, aerospace, consumer products, agriculture, healthcare, and SaaS. Her notable engagements include advising EigenLayer’s $1 billion liquid staking protocol, a DEX aggregator with $10 billion in trading volume across six EVM chains, and establishing Colorado’s first DAO cooperative—the Employment Commons LCA—a public utility infrastructure serving over 500 freelancers. She has also advised environmental venture studios organizing as DAO cooperatives, play-to-earn Web3 gaming protocols on token sale regulatory issues, and multiple companies on exit-to-community and alternative financing structures, including tokenized rolling securities offerings.
Yev has been instrumental in shaping blockchain policy in Colorado. She contributed to the drafting of Colorado’s Decentralized Communities Bill and participated in Web3 roundtables hosted by Governor Polis and Coinbase’s Stand for Crypto initiative. She has served on multiple Colorado government blockchain advisory steering committees in agriculture and banking, the board of Global Women in Blockchain, and leadership roles at the Women Who Startup Foundation, Women in Voice Tech, and the Lex Lead Group.
Earlier in her career, Yev served as General Counsel for multiple high-growth companies, including JetSmarter (where she led Series Seed through Series B financing totaling over $150 million), eBenefits Network, and Santeon Group (a publicly traded government contracting and enterprise software company). She began her legal career at Squire Patton Boggs’ Moscow office, focusing on international private equity, M&A, and FCPA investigations, before transitioning through Big Law platforms including King & Spalding and Paul Hastings. In 2017, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found ESQLegal, a coworking community for transactional attorneys focused on legal technology and access to justice.
Yev holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from the University of Colorado (magna cum laude), an LLB from the University of Birmingham School of Law (UK) with highest honors, and a joint LLM from The George Washington University School of Law and Oxford University. She was admitted to the New York bar in 2008.
