Spitz Legal Counsel, LLC
My practice focuses on helping entrepreneurs, startup companies, family-owned and other middle-market companies create and maintain a strong legal structure that allows them to focus on growing their business. I also help companies that want to take their business global through exporting or establishing operations in other countries.
I began my legal career in 1989 in the corporate law department of Frost Brown Todd, a large law firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. I went on to serve as in-house counsel with both privately-held and publicly-traded companies, including Standard Textile, Luxottica Retail, and, as general counsel, with Pomeroy IT Solutions. In 2010 my wife and I moved to Denver, where I did legal work for Allonhill LLC, and taught math for two years in Denver Public Schools before resuming the practice of law.
I received my law degree from Boston College Law School. My undergraduate education was at Harvard University, where I majored in government. I also completed a master’s degree in international affairs and economics at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in New York. In addition to my public school teaching experience, I have taught as an adjunct instructor at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law and Daniels College of Business.
