Susan P. Klopman is a partner in the litigation and employment law boutique H&K Law, LLC, which she co-founded in 2014. Prior to opening H&K Law, she was a partner at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, P.C. H&K Law was listed in U.S. News & World Report as one of the “Best Law Firms in Colorado” in 2016. Susan provides high-touch, customized representation to employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies in all facets of employment law. She enjoys finding creative business and legal solutions for her clients, which include executives and managers. Susan drafts all types of contracts and agreements and also counsels and litigates on matters related to ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act, the Colorado Wage Act, the drug and alcohol testing regulations, trade secret and non-compete law, among others. She has been a speaker/trainer on topics ranging from association claims under Title VII/ADA, physical threats in the workplace, to performance management and exit strategies. Susan is a current co-author of the Title VII chapter of The Practitioner’s Guide to Colorado Law. Susan has been recognized as a Colorado Rising Star® for 2010, and a Top Lawyer in 5280 Magazine from 2017-2019. Ms. Klopman received her A.B. from Mount Holyoke College, magna cum laude, and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of St. Ives.
