Blind since birth\, Justice Bernstein is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Michigan and Northwestern University of Law. Before being elected to Michigan’s highest court\, Justice Bernstein was a tireless advocate for the disabled and has tried\, and won\, several landmark cases that profoundly affected disability law.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us to learn more about the issues due to the lack of changes to federal laws regarding Colorado’s broad and groundbreaking decimalization of marijuana use and possession. This course will review the ethical concerns for Colorado lawyers who wish to advise and assist clients in Colorado’s burgeoning marijuana industry as well as the concerns created for Colorado lawyers who wish to purchase and consume marijuana products without the violation of ethical rules. Mr. Rothrock will also explain the state and application of the law of legal ethics on these and related subjects including lawyer ownership of marijuana enterprises and the use of trust accounts to deposit marijuana revenues.   \nThis will be a brown bag lunch\, so lunch will be included! DESCRIPTION:First American has prepared a CLE accredited course to discuss mechanic’s liens for the real estate sections (and others interested) of law firms in Denver. The course will last one hour\, and lunch will be provided. It has been approved for 1 General CLE credit. \nThe discussion will cover;   \n1) how the law works\, and relevant statutes\, \n2) how our coverages work\, and additional information on endorsements\, \n3) how underwriting is handled\, and what types of information can facilitate the process\, \n4) and finally address any questions.  \nThere is also developed robust reference materials that I will provide for attendees. These include the outline and presentation\, statutes\, endorsements\, Lenders policy jacket\, and a Mechanic’s Lien quick reference guide. \nThis will be a presentation based on Colorado law in the context of a new construction (any questions related to other states and contexts are more than welcome).
